Worldwide fame and fortune follows the names Jamie Jones and Lee Foss. Their label, Hot Creations, is now synonymous with success and excess – and their latest release certainly follows in this line.
‘Paradise’ is a new clubbing concept dreamt up by the duo, for the infamous DC10 in Ibiza. It brings a luxurious Miami beach style vibe (complete with that famous palm tree) to the shores of the White Isle, and so far, to much credible acclaim.
It seems obvious then, that the blisteringly popular label are to release a soundtrack to coincide with the balearic night – and so was born the ‘Paradise Summer Sampler’.
Featuring the newest names on the Hot Creations roster, the release provides hit after hit, and certainly follows previous amazing offerings from the label.
The A side is dedicated to up and coming UK talent Denney, with a track named ‘Ultraviolet’. Already gaining massive attention and plays from Jamie Jones himself, the track is just waiting to explode on dancefloors across the world. Hypnotic, punchy and perfect, it is the essence of the label and hits hard.
B1 is given to Mark Jenkyns, another British artist that has been given the Hot Creations faith. ‘Wind It Back’ is a rousing, deep house track with a beautifully balanced lick and vocal combination. Its steel drum sound effect is balanced with a darker bass that throbs through your ears.
Finally, B2 is for Italian duo Hunter/Game, with ‘Don’t Feel The Prescence’. A well blended track, it rings hauntingly on, as an antidote almost to the previous, building you down from the massive high that you have already felt
Overall, Hot Creations have definitely gone out to impress. Allowing new talent to showcase could sometimes be a risk, but every single track on this sampler is well honed, defined and well, perfect. But really, you know from a label with such stature, it would never really be any other way.
